The article deals with the problem of creative contacts and literary continuity of N. A. Nekrasov and A. N. Apukhtin in the interpretation of the theatrical theme. These Russian poets took part in modern theatrical life, used stage elements in their own artistic practice. The creative heritage of these authors captures an interesting period of experiencing the theatrical reality of the second half of the 19th century, within which the individual manner of the poets is revealed. In the theatrical sphere Nekrasov and Apukhtin found mechanisms for creative self-expression, for an open dialogue about social and moral problems, for an intimate and confessional narrative about the personal experiences and spiritual drama of their contemporaries. Theatrical and stage techniques are used in the poetic text, due to which the personification of the figurative series is enhanced, the declarativeness of the work increases and additional communicative foundations of the lyrics appear.
