The article is devoted to the research of the participation of the plenipotentiary representation of OGPU in Ivanovo industrial region in the centralized operations aimed at the operational provision of the dispossession of the peasantry. The attention is paid to the mechanism of the implementation, the content of the directives and also the requirements of OGPU to the plenipotentiary representations in regions. We research the effectiveness of the Ivanovo chekists‘ in the course of the implementation of the operations, their desire to reveal all the counterrevolutionary elements in the countryside. The attention is also paid to the facts of the violation of the Soviet laws during the dispossession process, the attitude of the rural population to the eviction of the kulaks. The article presents new information on the history of Ivanovo industrial region during the period of the state-run economy; lots of the archival documents are put into the circulation for the first time. The results of this research may be of interest for the specialists in the field of the national history, the regional economy and the activity of the special service.
