The rock poetry of Helavisa, the soloist and songwriter of the group “Melnitsa”, does not remain without the attention of researchers. Natalia O’Shay’s work is considered both in linguistic, musical, and literary aspects. The mythological originality of the works of this author deserves special attention. The relevance of the study of this problem is determined by the fact that Helavisa’s rock poetry is characterized by a new approach to depicting the unreal picture of the world in modern literature, including through mythological images. The article considers the specifics of artistic modeling of mythical images in the rock space of Helavisa on the example of the songs of the album “Manuscript”. The song “Orange Ballad” is investigated as an artistic space for rethinking the biblical story about Peter and Tabitha as an individual author’s romanticized narrative. The song “Philidel” reveals the artistic embodiment of the functions and properties of the images of mythical creatures of Celtic mythology — fairies: “possession of esoteric knowledge” and “power over the forces of nature”. Mythopoetics occupies a significant place in Helavisa’s album “Manuscript”. The album actively shows the contact of elements of the philistine reality with the otherworldly. In the song “Philidel”, elements of nature acquire an unreal meaning thanks to a fairy spell. In the “Orange Ballad” there is a romanticized contact of Tabitha with a miracle that has a divine origin. However, unlike the rest of Helavisa’s practice, the album contains the idea of the diversity of worlds, embodied with the help of mythological creatures (“Genie”, “Griffin”).
