The article provides a critical analysis of the hypothesis that the mind, progressing at an ever-increasing pace in the future will acquire a truly divine status,
will become omniscient and omnipotent. It is shown that in the light of the infinitism principle, asserting a diverse infinity (inexhaustibility of the universe), cognitive and transformative capabilities of the mind will always remain local.
