This article is concerned with the story of film making «Red Dawn» and its influence on American society during the Cold War, as well as the political views of
film director John Milius. The Cold War went not only on the fronts of local wars. Ideology and popular culture were excellent ways to convey ideas to their own citizens and discredit the enemy. Аmerican Cinema had all the opportunities. The film «Red Dawn» by John Milius has become a striking example of such propaganda.
