The article is devoted to the actual problem of virtualization of the modern university educational space. It is noted that global digitalization creates ample opportunities for the emergence of numerous representations of distance virtual education. It is shown that “zoom-” and “skype” technologies reveal one of the modes of virtuality — the replacement of personal communication with off-screen, a kind of “digital simulacrum” of educational relations. It has been recorded that the extensive digitalization of education, i.e. transfer in time and space of the real educational process, revealed significant shortcomings. It is stated that the need to create various models of a virtual university is revealed. One of such models — a virtual noospheric university as a universe of knowledge about the noosphere — is considered in detail. The difference of this educational paradigm related to the transition from the discourse of “windows of knowledge” to the discourse of “floors of knowledge” or “spheres of knowledge” is substantiated. It is concluded that the spheral paradigm of real and virtual university education makes it possible to strengthen the role of cognitive and semiotic dimensions of university education, which is achieved through isophilosophical representation as a tool for constructing a noospheric university. It is noted that for this kind of noospheric virtuality there is not yet sufficient power of the digital continuum, but it may appear in the coming decades as a form of co-evolution of the natural mind and artificial intelligence.
