The article is devoted to the study of the conceptual and methodological foundations of the international relations semiotics through the prism of noomachia
and eidomachia ideas. An understanding of eidomachia as an interdiscourse space of international politics is proposed, its system analysis is carried out. The logic of the formation of the international relations semiotics is shown, and its politological definition is given. Symbolic policies are considered in the context of visualization and conceptualization processes. The typology of symbolic orientations is clarified. The main transformation trends of the semiotic dimension of international relations are analyzed. The cinema of the Cold War is presented as a tool for the semiotisation of politics.
