The article presents the historical and architectural analysis of frontal architectural projection of “ulitsa Sovetskaya” from the “ulitsa Krutitskaya” to the “ulitsa Bubnova” of Ivanovo. This site is an object of cultural heritage of local (municipal) significance and is included in the list of objects of cultural heritage under the name «ulitsa Negorelaya» stated as «dostoprimechatelnoe mesto»). This analysis was carried out to clarify the current requirements for the implementation of activities and urban planning regulations within the boundaries of the facility due to the identification of regulatory restrictions preventing its effective renovation. The analysis was based on bibliographic, archival and in-situ studies. By comparing situational and site plans from different historical periods, the urban development of the site was determined. The obtained data formed the basis for graphical reconstructions that reflected the main stages of architectural and planning transformation of the object from the XVIII — to the beginning of the XXI centuries. Landscape, silhouette and composite characteristics of the site were identified, specifics of the established planning structure and its relationship with the landscape, silhouette, frame, density and composition of the site were marked. On the basis of photo fixation materials and field survey data, the scientific, typological and stylistic features of the buildings were studied, which allowed to complete a complex architectural analysis of the frontal development of the street. As a result, it was determined that the formation of the street was of progressive type, based on the continuity of the previously established historical-cultural environment. Potential effective renovation of such a heterogeneous environment required, in addition to clarifying the current wholeterritory general regulations, the assignment of separate regulatory areas allowing adaptive construction in parameters defined on the basis of historical architectural analysis of the specific site and supporting the further inherent evolutionary development.
