The article is focused on identity as a tool for organizing and managing large groups of people necessary for a person and society. Proposed is a reinterpretation of the traditional approach according to which people in society are guided by the rules that are given to them by tradition, religion, or created by themselves, which means that reason is considered as the acting force of history. It is shown that the natural-ness of human behavior does not imply the presence of any external or internal rules, but only the spontaneity of his reactions to external incentives, as a part of the social system. It is concluded that if the behavior of such a person is considered as a «norm outside the rules» and «a system within a system», then he poses a threat to «noospheric security» as a system of reasonable rules. It is stated that this threat is not fatal, since the activity of an irrational subject is aimed at finding new states of equilibrium between him and the «reasonable» society.
