The article is devoted to the consideration of the main practical results of Torgsin’s activities in the Ivanovo industrial region in 1933—1935. The results of attracting foreign currency values (gold and silver coins, household gold and silver, foreign currency and precious stones) and the implementation of plans for the realization of various groups of industrial and food products in the region are presented. The dynamics of the population’s demand for goods was analyzed. The data on the role of imported goods in the total trade turnover are considered. The amount of circulation costs (invoices and general trade) allocated to support the activities of the Torgsin trading network in the Ivanovo industrial region has been studied. Statistics on changes in costs over the various periods of Torgsin’s activity are presented. Calculations of additional ruble investments allocated for the purchase of goods from Soviet industry, as well as the volume of “gaps” between the prices of industry and Torgsin, have been proposed. The potential economic effect of the Torgsin trading network in the Ivanovo industrial region has been studied. Torgsin’s foreign exchange earnings were compared with the state’s expenses for the purchase of imported equipment for industrialization facilities during the first and second fiveyear plans in the USSR. The studied materials allow us to conclude that the Torgsins in the periphery, using the example of Ivanovo region, demonstrated high importance in the issue of accumulation of foreign currency values, but the specifics of the system’s activities required significant ruble investments.
