Melikyan M.A., Smirnov D.G. Era of robots or era of human?(case of onto-gnoseological reflection)

The article is an experience of reflection on the book by Genrikh Volkov “The Age of Robots or the Age of Man?”. The problems of freedom and im/perfection are
considered through the prism of modern digital culture and civilization. A comparative analysis of the paradigms of technicism and technological optimism is offered. Problem points of human futurology, recorded 60 years ago, are analyzed. The basic contradictions associated with the development of artificial intelligence, identified as early as the last century, are revealed. The “machine” imperative of the society of the new technological order is critically
considered. The author comes to the conclusion that there certainly is a need to steer a modern man away from digital slavery as a state of subordination to digital existence.
