Kiseleva I.S. The plot of the Paradoxical detective story and the game genre of Friedrich Durrenmatt's comedy “The Accident”

The work of F. Durrenmatt-comediographer is distinguished by internal complexity, the writer adopts the achievements of intellectual drama and epic theater, but in
other cases he challenges them, endowing the plays with the features of the farcical element of the national theater. In his comedies, entertaining and increasing tension coexist with the effect of alienation, calling the viewer not to feel, but to comprehend. The author manages to show a typical phenomenon not in its usual form, but in an unexpected one, incompatible with the usual viewer's perception, breaking the stereotypical representation. It is the features of the playing field created in his plays that determine the main originality of his theater and studying them will help to understand the complexity of his dramatic technique. The radio
play “Accident” is one of the most striking examples of the game's comedy, as the game is at the heart of its intrigue. An important role in comedy is played by the paradox, thanks to which the detective story is endowed with unexpected meaning.
