The aim of the article is to identify the key features of the chronotope of the city in E. Limonov's novels. The article uses the following methods: comparative-historical, typological, method of holistic analysis of the artwork. As a result, it is established, firstly, that the chronotopes of small and big city become key for the novelist’s works of the emigrant period. Secondly, in the novel “Teenage Savenko…” the topography of the city is built by creating a special topographical continuum and extreme detailing of topographical descriptions. The chronotope of the small town is built on the structure of the chronotope of the House and becomes the background for the psychological and physical formation of the hero. Thirdly, the novel “It's me, Eddie”, unlike “Teenager Savenko…”, presents the chronotope of the big city, which is constructed according to the city-world model. The city here is represented through the prism of the consciousness of an emigrant writer by a localized topos, which shows the life of the Russian emigration of the “third wave”. Finally, in both novels the city as a key spatial component is not just a background for the unfolding of numerous fateful events, but also a semantic center, a catalyst for the unfolding plot.
