DOI: 10.46726/H.2026.1.9

This article is devoted to the study of dependent clauses in the Tatar language, which are subordinate to the main clause using means of communication that are part of the predicate. The means of communication in such complex sentences constitute the word form of the predicate of the welded sentence. Complex sentences are a specific feature of the syntactic system of Turkic languages, including Tatar. Nevertheless, Turkologists, although they recognize the presence of welded sentences, as a rule, call them subordinate clauses — synthetic subordinate clauses. The purpose of the scientific article is to study complex sentences with a soldering connection between components in the Tatar language. The research is carried out on the basis of examples from texts of small genres of Tatar folklore using the method of linguistic description and the structural-semantic method. As a result of the conducted research, it can be argued that in the Tatar language, and in Turkic languages in general, it is more logical to call sentences with a synthetic (according to the accepted terminology) subordinating connection complex sentences.
