Galyuchenko A.S. Semantic features of English terms in Russian-language job vacancy texts for lawyers

The relevance of the issues considered in the article is connected with the urgency to comply with the new language policy of the Russian Federation, the objective
of which is to reduce the use of anglicisms in the Russian. The aim of the study is to examine the features of semantics of anglicized terms and English-language embeddings in the Russian-language text of vacancies for lawyers and the specifics of their representation. The paper studies the ways of lexicographic description of the terms-anglicisms selected from the texts of vacancies in English-Russian and Russian-English legal dictionaries. The author also examines the peculiarities of their semantics using concordance search in the Englishlanguage corpus NOW (News on the Web). A number of reasons that determine the use of English-language embeddings and anglicisms in the Russian text of the vacancy are suggested. The author of the article puts forward several options for supplementing/replacing their translations in existing dictionaries, having systematized the information in the author's glossary. It formulates working translation equivalents obtained through the use of corpus technology tools (RNC, NOW), analysis of domestic and foreign legal information portals (Garant, MyLawQuestions, etc.), additional search and analysis of actual job texts. The proposed semantization of the studied terms can advantageously supplement dictionary entries in existing English-Russian legal dictionaries.
