. The main attention in the article is paid to the discussion of the upcoming revolutionary changes in the higher education system, which will result from the fundamental process of displacement of people from various fields of professional activity by various forms of artificial intelligence, which is already unfolding today. The article puts forward and to a certain extent substantiates the hypothesis according to which the higher education system should radically change its priorities in the coming decades: its current predominantly pragmatic orientation should be replaced by its value-semantic fullness. It is shown that for this, in particular, it is necessary to carry out the fundamentalization and humanitarization of the most promising areas of university training. For this, it is further argued, it is also necessary to significantly strengthen the ideological component of higher education. In addition, in the coming years, it is necessary to include in the educational content of most modern areas of university training courses in which the principles of operation and the most important forms of artificial intelligence will be deeply studied. The article outlines the prospect of turning higher education into a sphere of relatively independent and self-valuable activity of people; the increasing importance of the human-developing function of higher education is emphasized. It is demonstrated that higher education in the future can and should become such a type of human activity that is capable of filling their lives with high values and meanings by itself, capable of making their lives interesting, fulfilling and worthy.
