The author of the article focuses on the views on artificial intelligence and its impact on public life. A comparative analysis of various models of its understanding is proposed: optimistic scenarios endow the artificial intelligence with the possibility of improving the quality of life; pessimistic narratives imply a partial replacement of a human in creative activity. Natural intelligence is presented as an integral quality of a person capable of acting actively and purposefully, developing flexible and variable algorithms for solving cognitive and practical problems, and showing emotionality. It is substantiated that artificial intelligence does not possess the indicated features and, in principle, cannot replace a human. The conclusion is made about the fundamental non-identity of artificial and human «minds». It is noted that the (non) danger of artificial intelligence is determined by the peculiarities of the world social order.
