The article is devoted to the consideration of the reasons for the emergence of new terminological units within a new subbranch of law (that is digital law). Using a terminological sample, the author conducts a component analysis of the units that are typical for English language digital law. Particular attention is paid to the structural models of the formation of two- and multi-component terminological combinations, abbreviated terms, as well as hybrid terminological units. The analysis concludes that noun-based terminological units are the most productive, while four- and five-component terms tend to be abbreviated.
