This article describes and briefly characterizes the scholarly philological journal “Two Centuries of Russian Classics”, which is included in Russian and international databases. The journal is published by the A.M. Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences. During its seven-year existence, it has become one of the leading literary journals, actively publishing materials on contemporary Tolstoy studies. The review offers a thematic classification of the journal's articles devoted to the life and work of L.N. Tolstoy and the reception of his legacy. The innovative nature of all the works, their high scientific literacy, and their relevance are noted, and the academic status of the journal is emphasized, as it publishes only promising, theoretically and practically significant research.
