Vasyukov V.L. Metaphysical aspects of the philosophy of mind

The way we talk about consciousness dictates the answer to the questions about which states of consciousness are conscious. Theorists of consciousness generally do not provide a metaphysical justification for the nature of consciousness or what it is, especially since the usual view of thought is not in the form of asserting what consciousness is, but rather of the conditions under which the actual state is a conscious one. In order to overcome the difficulties that arise here, it is desirable to rely on a description of the nature of consciousness by elucidating certain metaphysical aspects of consciousness. As a starting point for such a description, it is proposed to use the model of consciousness proposed by the author in the work «The Logic of Consciousness», based on a combination of «neural» logic, which describes the causal connections of neuronal states, and «mental» logic, which describes various types of connections of mental states.
