Abstract. This study aims to trace the features of the embodiment of “foreign space” in the oriental cycles of the New Peasant poets S.A. Yesenin and A.V. Shiryaevts, as well as the artistic unity of S.M. Gorodetsky. The work attempts to display national determinants in the image of non-native spaces in the lyrical units “Persian motifs”, “Turquoise teahouse”, “Angel of Armenia”, created by the named authors. The work draws special attention to the desire of the lyrical heroes of the studied works to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of another country, to understand and accept its traditions, cultural characteristics and the palette of mores adopted in a different, from the point of view of national self-consciousness, society. As a result of the work, it is established that features of the figurative structure of the considered works by S.A. Yesenin, A.V. Shiryaevts, S.M. Gorodetsky testify to the commonality of their perception of “foreign space”, based on tolerance towards foreign cultural realities, which turns out to be one of the features of the national self-consciousness of a Russian person. The results of the study make a certain contribution to the development of ideas about the embodiment of the «Russian idea» in Russian literature and record the presence of a creative «dialogue» in the artistic heritage of the poets of the Silver Age.
